What’s Student Watch?

Student Watch is an annual survey conducted by OnCampus Research. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate student attitudes and behaviors toward their course materials (i.e. textbooks and other materials required for your classes). The survey also asks about related topics, like perceptions of different class formats and academic challenges. We DO NOT collect your personal information and no attempt is being made to sell you anything.

The information collected from the survey is used to calculate annual estimates of student course materials spending and related trends. Additionally, your school will receive a school-specific report, which will help administrators see how your school compares to others across the U.S. and Canada.

What’s in it for me?

Aside from helping us gain a better perspective of student wants, needs, and perceptions, you will be entered to win a $50 gift card. Your school may be able to use the results from Student Watch to inform policy or practice (i.e. to make improvements at your school and campus). We will also award one student (across all of our participating schools) a $1,000 grand prize gift card.

Your responses to the survey are confidential. Results will only be published in the aggregate.
